Red Balloon Rising Presents
The List
On desolate train tracks heading west, two terminally kindred spirits collide over how to live- or mercifully die- on their own terms.
This very personal story is more timely and urgent than ever, considering the state of the world and its heightened impact on individual mental health. It’s all too easy to feel isolated and disconnected from others, forgetting that we are all more alike than we realize.
We find interconnectedness, understanding, and acceptance in the most unlikely places.
Stevie and Michelle meet at a crossroads; terminally-ill Michelle wants to suck the marrow out of what life she has left, while Stevie finds life itself to be a terminal disease. The film explores the meaning of choice: how we live, die, and everything between.
The List touches on the dark side of modern humanity - high expectations, disappointment, uncertainty, and the anxiety this creates. Chance encounters, gallows humor, and a 'nothing left to lose' mentality accompany Stevie and Michelle on their journey.
